Description

The 1873 peacemaker-style revolver, originally designed for the U.S. Cavalry, quickly became the archetypical sixgun of the frontier. Available in a number of powerful chamberings in different barrel lengths, besides the “peacemaker,” it was also known by other monikers like “hogleg,” smoke wagon,” and “equalizer.” In civilian hands, it quickly earned a reputation as a rugged, hard-hitting, well-balanced revolver and outsold all competitors. Men like Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, John Selman, the James-Younger gang, the Daltons, Texas, and later the Arizona Rangers, all packed this legendary arm and did their smoky work with it. With the coming of the Silver Screen, the Model P was reintroduced to an entirely new generation of admirers. In the hands of such Western stars as John Wayne, Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, Tom Selleck, Clint Eastwood, and countless others, this sixgun has earned lasting fame with shooters and Old West fans alike! Considered as the most authentic and highest quality reproduction of the 1873 Colt, Cimarron’s replica was reproduced in every detail from an original 1873 single action in the Cimarron antique collection and was not replicated by working simply from drawings, as with previous reproductions. Cimarron also took extra steps to improve the gun’s reliability with the Cowboy Compaction which eliminates weaknesses associated with the 19th-century design. Offered in the 7 1/2, 5 1/2, or 4 3/4-inch barrel lengths, in either the pre-1896-style Old Model with the cylinder base pin screw located in the front of the frame or the post-1896 Pre-War frame, where the cylinder base pin retaining screw is found on the side of the frame, in front of the cylinder. It comes in .32-20, .38-40, .38 Special/.357 Magnum, .44 Special, .44-40 or .45 Colt. Cimarron’s Model P is the sixgun of the West!

Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled-down version. Chambered for the .22LR and .22 Magnum cartridges, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight and the perfect timing of the action makes for a handgun that will put its shots where you want 'em. The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic cocobolo grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. There are also other grip materials available, plus finish options include the attractive and durable Smooth Silver Satin. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken! The ZEV Technologies OZ-9C Hyper-Comp brings the benefits of a compensator to the popular compact platform without adding any extra length or mass. The Hyper-comp features four tapered vertical ports integrated into the top of the barrel that vents gases upward to reduce muzzle rise, creating one of the flattest shooting compacts available. The slide has a top channel cut-out that extends to the front of the barrel opening, allowing the front sight to be pinned directly to the barrel, making it easier to track the sight during recoil as it does not reciprocate with the slide. This unique ported barrel design allows for easy barrel disassembly for cleaning and maintenance that compensated guns typically need, without having to remove a compensator. The O.Z-9C was designed and created for balance. It’s one of the first things you notice when holding this pistol. Balance equates to what every shooter is looking for; a more controllable pistol with less felt recoil, less muzzle flip, and faster, more accurate follow-up shots. At the heart of the O.Z-9C is a patented Steel Receiver. This solid steel frame runs the length of the entire pistol allowing the locking block to be fully integrated. The extended rails in the steel receiver help provide more than double the surface area of contact to the slide. Additional benefits include channels that clear out debris while also acting as lubricating reservoirs for high friction areas. Having a singular component for the slide to travel along minimizes vibration and recoil energy by dispersing it along with the receiver through the custom grip. A single take-down pin conveniently located at the front of the trigger guard locks the removable grip to the steel receiver. By design, the trigger is housed in the steel receiver allowing for future grip upgrades without completely breaking down the pistol. The improved grips have steeper angles, and a forward hand position keeping the muzzle down and pointing straighter. Additional grip sizes and colors, and multiple sized mag wells are available to facilitate further customization by end-users. The O.Z-9C is compatible with ZEV components and accepts GLOCK mags.
